Chantix Helps Even the Most Chronic Smoker Stop

by Brian Welsch

Emphysema, leukemia (adult acute and chronic), cancer (lung, cervical, esophageal, laryngeal, kidney and others), cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease, some forms of dementia, and a myriad of birth defects are all good reasons to stop smoking. Other reasons include those related to secondhand smoking, particularly in children: cancer, respiratory issues, chronic ear infections, and even a greater chance of hyperactivity or other behavior problems.

With the information regarding the risks of smoking available today, there is little reason for anyone to quit. So why is it that smoking is still the number one killer of adults in the United States? The answer is simple—quitting is pure hell. The side effects include: restlessness, anxiety, crankiness, irritability, lack of concentration, chronic coughing, tingling in limbs, mouth ulcers and sleeping issues.

What if a pharmaceutical company created a medication that tricked the brain into thinking it was getting the nicotine you are addicted to? What if the side effects were minimized or completely removed? For your health or the health of your children, would you stop then? When I quit over fifteen years ago, Pfizer had yet to create Chantix . Had this been available, though, you can bet I would have taken it to avoid the tingling, headaches and restlessness.

What is Chantix ?

Recently approved by the FDA, Chantix may well be the miracle drug smokers have been looking for. It works in two ways. First, Chantix provides the brain with some of the same effects that are provided by nicotine, which eases the horrible withdrawal symptoms. Second, it is equipped with a blocking agent, which actually prevents the brain from receiving any new effects of nicotine should the smoker resume old habits.

This means that even the most chronic smoker can finally stop! If you have tried every trick suggested to you and even one or two other drugs to help yourself quit then talk to your doctor about Chantix . Consider the trials: in six clinical trials on 3659 chronic smokers who averaged twenty-one cigarettes per day for twenty-plus years, Chantix proved to be a superior means toward living a smoke-free life.

As a result of these trials, the FDA approved Chantix . Now, you or any smoker you know who is willing to give this new drug twelve short weeks, may break the chain of addiction. No more stinky car, breath and clothing. No more worries that your children will develop ADD or ear infections from your secondhand smoke. No more worries of smoking related cancers or dementia. All of this can be replaced by a life lived addiction free.
